Consumer expectations with respect to the performance of their color cosmetics are becoming increasingly difficult to meet. This is especially evident with mascaras and eye liners. Customers expect longer lasting products, yet they want them to be more easily removed. They want products which are substantive to the lash, yet remain soft and natural feeling. They want products to enhance the volume of the lash, while also wanting the product to spread smoothly and easily. Formulators have recently attempted to address these seemingly contradictory expectations by means of packaging and hardware innovations, while the formulations themselves remain relatively unchanged – until now. DERMACRYL® C film forming polymer is an innovative film forming polymer technology designed especially for color cosmetics applications.
DERMACRYL® C film forming polymer is particularly well suited for use in O/W mascara and eye liner formulations. This polymer offers a number of consumer friendly benefits because it forms clear, substantive, flexible films which can improve resistance to wear, enhance water resistance, build volume, and give a soft natural feel. Although substantive, the DERMACRYL® C polymer films are easily removed with warm soapy water or standard make-up removers.
